Rev. John E. Fields, Jr., MDiv, MBA, was born in Dallas, Texas. He came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at the tender age of 9-years old. He was both licensed and ordained on June 16, 2000,and September 14, 2003, respectively, under the leadership of Pastor Quan D. Glover. Rev. Fields has been pastoring First Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church (FJG) for going on twelve years in September 2024.
Pastor Fields is a community-minded pastor, and FJG is a pillarwithin the Brunswick community as well. Pastor Fields is a man of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. since 1978, and he has continued his dedicated service with that organization on the local level, with the Rho Mu Lambda Chapter, Brunswick, GA.Furthermore, in his free time, he serves on several boards. One organization that is consistently on his heart, is Rebuild Together, where he serves on its board of directors. He is also a member of Burroughs-Mollette Elementary School’s, School Council. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Community First Planning Commission. Additionally, Pastor Fields is a former Brunswick, GA Branch President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
At his core, Pastor Fields is committed to serving his community locally and on the state and even global levels. Moreover, he is a family man, who adores his wife, First Lady Tammy Fields, and he loves his two adult children – Sargent John E. Fields, III and Kellie C. Fields, Esq., MPA – with all of his heart
